Temporary Abutments Engaging
Temporary Abutments, used for the fabrication of temporary screw-retained restorations, are made of titanium or plastic. The retentive grooves on the abutments/copings help to retain the acrylic material when constructing the temporary restoration. Temporary restorations are made either chair-side or at a dental laboratory. For the direct chair-side method, an acrylic mold can be made for the temporary restoration. Engaging and non-engaging variants are used for single- and multiple-unit implant restorations, respectively.
